What's inside
“This facility is a joy to climb at, with their huge selection of varied skill level and skill type bouldering/top rope routes.”
“We did notice that it has very little top rope options compared to other climbing gyms so we will probably not visit as much as we’d like unless they update the walls regularly.”
“We had been looking for a new place to do yoga, so we signed up and began going to yoga twice a week, and climbing top rope once or twice a week.”
What climbers say again and again
“Perhaps this is a byproduct of it being relatively new, but the holds were all pristine (my biggest nitpick with some gyms) and everything else was spotless.”
“We had been looking for a new place to do yoga, so we signed up and began going to yoga twice a week, and climbing top rope once or twice a week.”
“I appreciated the names the route setters would give the top rope routes, and the gimmick with the renovated pool area was very entertaining.”
“After taking the intro to climbing class, she convinced me to do the same.”
“They have party rooms, plenty of seating areas, and a super friendly staff.”
From the reviews
Sportrock Rio has changed my life for the better. My wife and I first started coming to Sportrock after a hiking/scrambling incident where she didn't feel comfortable scaling the ridge of a well known butte in a National Park. After taking the intro to climbing class, she convinced me to do the same.
5/5! With Rio being the newest addition to the Sportrock Climbing locations, expectations were very high. The Facility: The facility is huge! Plenty of top rope/lead and bouldering to go around.
If I were local to the area, this would absolutely be my main climbing gym. Reasonably priced, all things considered, and phenomenal facilities. Without a doubt one of the cleanest gyms I've ever been to.
What a fun place!! They just opened las Monday so we got to climb their first set!! They have an amazing staff. They are friendly and made us feel like friends! Special mention to Adam, who took the time to answer all our questions from the phone yesterday and stopped by to say Hi to us today.
