Large facility with bouldering and lead climbs, plus yoga and fitness classes.

Plan your visit

  • Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
  • Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
  • Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
  • Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews

Went with some girlfriends and we had a blast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good variety of routes to climb. Nice people there climbing. We worked out in the fitness center after which was an added bonus. Give this place a try for a fun change of pace.

A fantastic climbing gym, and even better guides! Whether you want to climb indoors or outdoors, Stone Age is the place to go! While visiting ABQ for a week, we spent an evening climbing in the gym and also booked a day of guided climbing outdoors. We had a wonderful time both days! Cat was an amazing guide.

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to get some climbing in before an outdoor trip later this week. Quinn was super friendly and helpful in helping us get all set up with rental gear and showing us around the facility. It’s a big facility with bouldering, top roping, auto belays and a kid’s area.
