Unfortunately you must be Military, retired or dependant to utilize this facility. That said you have everything under the sun to rent for camping, biking, fishing, grill out, plan parties & events. If they don't have it you probably bought one at Costco, Sam's, or Walmart.
The Outdoor Recreation at Kirkland is one of the largest and best facilities we have encountered at military bases. Kudos to the staff who were very friendly and engaging during our interactions.
Great prices for equipment rental. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have odd hours around the holidays so make sure you plan your rental in advance if its over a 3 day weekend.
We went on the Thirsty Thursday tour and brought my mom, who is visiting from Buffalo. We had such a great time and celebrated my husband's birthday well! We met some awesome Kirtland people and will be going to more events soon.
