What's inside
“Was super crowded the day we went so we had no opportunity to get signed off for belaying so we had to stick to auto belays, which for adults, there were not many.”
What climbers say again and again
“There are two locations near me, and both Salt Pump places are clean, safe, and challenging.”
From the reviews
I've been a customer of Salt Pump since 2018 and can recommend SP to new and experienced climbers. The staff is top tier - nice work fellas. I don't have children but I see the staff during the kid's classes are very tentative, safe, and responsible. I believe SP grades their routes accurately.
This is a super fun place, in my opinion. It challenges the mind and body. The staff is very helpful. There are two locations near me, and both Salt Pump places are clean, safe, and challenging.
Salt Pump Climbing Company: Where gravity takes a backseat to adventure! Step into a world where walls aren't barriers, but invitations to defy limits. With routes that challenge both body and mind, it's a playground for climbers of all levels. The only downside?
Signed my child up for a week long day camp, this place is great!!The instructors for the kids were kind and very patient. My child really enjoyed themselves and wants to do it again. The facility was very clean and oranganized. The staff members were very welcoming and upbeat. 10 out of 10!
Birthday parties at Salt Pump Summer Camp
Salt Pump Summer Camp hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Salt Pump Summer Camp
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Salt Pump Summer Camp — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
Adaptive climbing
Salt Pump Summer Camp is mentioned for adaptive climbing or paraclimbing — sessions, equipment, or coaching that make the walls climbable for people with disabilities. Offerings like this vary a lot gym to gym and schedules change, so call ahead to ask what's available and when the next session runs.
