Large, colorful rock-climbing gym offering multiple faces & a rappel tower for adults & kids.
Plan your visit
- Day pass around $37 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Ages 7–12 — the gym's own stated range
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
The Cliffs LIC is a great all-around climbing gym. There’s plenty of bike parking out front and there’s even an indoor bike room right by the entrance when you walk in. There are locker rooms (don’t forget to bring a lock) that also have bathrooms and showers.
I LOVE the Cliffs @ LIC. Incredible variety of climbing for all styles and skill levels. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, with excellent lessons (limited to class sizes of 4). Quality gym equipment both specialized for climbing and for proper lifts (deadlifts / squats).
A lot of fun and very challenging! It was my first time climbing so I don’t know more than what they told us at the checkin and intro. There are are several different levels and forms of climbing, it’s very impressive watching experienced climbers push themselves.
Probably the biggest rock climbing/bouldering gym I've ever been in. They have a ton of auto-belay to ropes and a section for bouldering. Upstairs is a mini gym with barbells and cardio machines. There's also small study area with outlets and free wifi.
Kids classes & camps at Movement LIC
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Movement LIC — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
