- Day pass around $60 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems

“Also kudos to having 2 lounge chairs right by the pool to relax after the cold plunge.”

From the reviews
Equinox East 63rd Street is by far my favorite Equinox (or gym in general) in the city. The club is always spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully laid out, making every workout feel comfortable and stress-free.
Very good overall experience. It has decent hours, too many nyc gyms close so early since covid I feel like I'm living in a senior citizen retirement community and not New York City. Setting this club closes after 10 PM Monday through Thursday and on Friday nights closes at 10pm..Saturday and Sunday 9p.
Idk if it’s just me or the treadmills are SUPER fast here; 8 mph here did not feel like 8 mph at any other equinox using the newer Life Fitness treadmills. Clientele was surprisingly really nice; my first time having positive experiences with equinox members. Staff was also very nice and attentive.
I didn’t actually work out at the gym—I just stopped by to buy some gym wear from their store. I would rate the salesperson, Mia, a 10/10. She was incredibly helpful and supportive, not only providing exactly the information I needed for the gym wear, but also introducing me to a lot of useful details about the gym.
