Kid-friendly climbing center (and a bouldering gym).
Plan your visit
- Day pass around $13 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

“A lot of times route setters will use jugs and an occasional juggy crimp for a beginner climb and make it very straight forward.”

From the reviews
We made the trip from Chattanooga to check it out. Mostly bouldering problems, there is 4 shorts top rope routes, but the space is very new and well organized with all the latest training tools. Personally we liked the routes settings better than in Chattanooga, too bad its a bit of a drive.
I’ve been to over 50+ climbing gyms all across the US. This gym easily has some of the best route setting that I’ve ever seen. A lot of times route setters will use jugs and an occasional juggy crimp for a beginner climb and make it very straight forward.
Great Place for kids and grown ups. There is a section only for kids or first timers that is about 8-10 walls that are rated in the beginners climb level. Expect to pay or bring your specialized harness ($4) and shoes ($3).
Staley was a huge help gave me a thorough orientation. Lots of people here moving the rocks to create different course options. Had plans to revisit same day after a walk alas- the next day and quite sore ! A great workout and highly recommend ! I stayed strapped, no bouldering for me 😂
