Climbing gym for all skill levels, featuring a variety of walls and including workouts, yoga and camps, too.
Plan your visit
- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

What's inside
“It really feels like the routes are being set by a bouldering route setter, who could use a little bit more intuition about how top rope routes usually flow.”
“Probably half the routes have absolutely insane reaches, to the point where you're almost dynoing to get up a top rope route.”
“There are auto belays, building, lead walls, a huge fitness area, a kids room, and a dedicated family climbing area.”
“They need to add caribeaners to the autobelays to make them easier to put on and take off, but it's not worth giving fewer stars, lol”

“Not to mention the moon board, free weights, training boards and a speed climbing wall.”

From the reviews
Go here!!! Great staff & loads of classes to help you improve your technique. Auto belays are available on your solo days. Yoga classes are included with monthly membership, as well as discounted prices on technique classes offered. They even provide courses to help you transition from indoor to outdoor climbs.
Great climbing gym for all type of people. They have a kids area, gym, bouldering wall, and belay wall. It's perfect for people who are just starting to get into climbing and those who already know there way around.
Awesome place for individuals and whole families of all ages. My wife and I moved to the local area and we brought our 7 year old and had a blast. I and my wife even ended up buying gear and will be starting a family membership. The staff is SUPER helpful and really nice. The facility is very well kept.
I really want to give this place five stars, but for a couple of reasons I'm going to keep it four for now. In the last few months, there's been a serious quality degradation with setting. Probably half the routes have absolutely insane reaches, to the point where you're almost dynoing to get up a top rope route.
Birthday parties at The Spot Climbing Gym
The Spot Climbing Gym hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at The Spot Climbing Gym
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at The Spot Climbing Gym — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
