Rock climbing center offering bouldering walls, top-roping, a Kilter board, and a cave.
Plan your visit
- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
Maybe I’m biased because the OG Crag in Franklin was where I learned how to climb and eventually worked for, but this iteration of The Crag is one of the best so far. Franklin always deserved a bigger, better gym than the OG location, and I’m so stoked to see this long awaited gym finally come to fruition.
This location is about 75% bouldering and 25% top rope/auto, whereas the Nashville location is more 50/50 and maybe 50% bigger. I enjoyed the problems I tried. The facility is nice with convenient sinks for hand washing outside the bathrooms. I had a pleasant interaction with the person working the desk.
10/10 wonderful climbing gym. This location is more boulder walls than top rope but if you love bouldering it's perfect! New fresh walls and holds with great route setters. Staff is also fantastic! It's a must for climbers in Nashville!
The Crag Franklin is a great place for bouldering. They have a cave and a nice variety of different skill ranges for the corse. If you want the belay, there is some, but only about 10 course, their Nashville location has tons more.
