Plan your visit
- Day pass around $20 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

“There are also a small number of auto-belay climbs (6) however, it's clear to see that bouldering is their specialty.”

“Plenty of routes for beginners and advanced climbers alike - mostly V1's through V10's though I've seen a few V11-13's.”

From the reviews
I'm very impressed with this gym. It's a good mix of modern and traditional bouldering. There were many different styles of problems and styles of holds. The walls, volumes, and holds have course texture. There's a lot of different equipment for training and the building has history.
I love this facility. The staff are amazing and the gym is filled with genuinely great people. They offer a wide range of route difficulties so there is always something work and improve on. I also really like how they offer yoga for their members at no additional cost. Always such a treat to hang out in this gym.
I love this place. The pricing is great (pretty low starting price + many discounts), and the facility is fantastic (mostly bouldering, though a bit of toprope). All the holds are high quality, the homemade walls are great, and the routes are creative and bountiful.
I tried a few of the climbing gyms in the Colorado Springs area before deciding on SCC as my home gym. I absolutely love the atmosphere: great music, friendly staff, new routes all the time, and all of this for a great price!
Birthday parties at Springs Climbing Center
Springs Climbing Center hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Springs Climbing Center
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Springs Climbing Center — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
