From the reviews
I love the Source for the convenience of it’s location! It’s in a great part of downtown Vancouver, close to plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants. They have fun, challenging routes and plenty of auto-belays for the solo climbers.
I asked my grandson if this was a little fun, a lot of fun, or a whole lot lot lot lot of fun. His answer was a whole lot lot lot lot of fun. His first time here and he had a blast. The staff was very amazing and patient. They showed us the "ropes." Literally the ropes. 😂🤣🤣You can rent everything you need here.
Source is such a great climbing gym - especially for kiddos. They have a great upstairs area with smaller walls, bouldering, and a slide. Downstairs they have higher walls which kids can also go on with the auto belay. It can get pretty busy at times which is a bit complicated but just requires some patience.
This place is so awesome, and fun for all ages and walks of life. They have a lot of different difficulties for indoor rock climbing as well as a kid's gym upstairs. Even if it's your first time trying the sport out (as it was mine), it's still very intense and entertaining, and you can go at your own pace.
Birthday parties at Source Climbing Center
Source Climbing Center hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
