“My main bouldering gym is Rock Spot South Boston, but was in the area and had the opportunity to try out their Malden location!”
“Paying more while losing the option for auto-belay, top-rope, and lead is tough.”
What climbers say again and again
“Seems like a great wall for beginners to get into climbing, with some real challenges for more advanced climbers.”
“Easy to work with, welcoming, and a great, convenient spot that isn't trying to overdo it (as so many other climbing gyms are).”
From the reviews
My kids and I, first time climbers, had a great time here. The staff were helpful and friendly and it was a great winter activity to do with my kids. We'll definitely be back.
Had a lot of fun trying to rock climb with a friend. We're both pretty athletic people, and this was still quite challenging for us. The wall is only 15 feet high, so no ropes are used. They have padded mats to soften your landing if you fall. There are six difficulty levels of routes up to the top of the wall.
Lovely bouldering only gym! Although it’s small, they change the problems relatively frequently so it doesn’t get boring quickly. Keep it up! Open to 11PM which is great. And the mat is softer than CRG. A lot of easier grades so good for beginners and don’t feel like theyre designed for tall people only.
My main bouldering gym is Rock Spot South Boston, but was in the area and had the opportunity to try out their Malden location! I like how it is right in front of the train station - makes getting to very simple.
