4.8 ★★★★★ 260 Google reviews · Climbing gym in Randolph, New Jersey
Casual climbing gym featuring 30-foot top-rope walls, auto-belay systems and bouldering areas.
Plan your visit
- Day pass around $6 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
Such an amazing staff! The place is perfect. I went with my two teenagers, a tween and two elementary age kids, five in all. There's something for everyone. My 14yr daughter who was certain she wouldn't be able to do it found ways to get comfortable then stretch herself.
Was in the area to hike but it started to look like rain, so I came here and got a day pass instead. Friendly and helpful staff, plenty of bouldering walls (I don’t top rope), variety in difficulty and style, separate sections for everyone and just adults (14+), clean, not too crowded on a Monday afternoon.
Love this place I could get a daypass for $17 and some shoes for 5 and leave for an hour to eat and come back still able to climb and have my rentals. Bouldering is super enjoyable here very few kids in that area. But the auto belays have lots of kids if that bothers you. Cave is awesome and so is the second floor.
very friendly atmosphere. Good value for money. I recommend getting the multiple visit deal. all equipment needed to climb is available for rent. they will even spot you if you are climbing alone. there are also multiple auto belays for use. ample bouldering area.
Birthday parties at Randolph Climbing Center
Randolph Climbing Center hosts birthday parties, going by their listing and visitor reviews. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
