- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
Penn Campus Recreation is a cornerstone of wellness and activity at the University of Pennsylvania, offering a comprehensive array of fitness and recreational services to the Penn community.
I absolutely like this gym. It is so huge and has sufficient capacity to accommodate many people in a given time. But only thing is there’re many broken equipments- if those were taken care of faster I would literally give this gym a 5 stars. All security staffs are so warm; they welcome every time so warmly.
Facilities are very well maintained and clean, specially the pool. Aerobics room and Gym having decent numbers of equipment. Currently wearing mask is mandatory while doing any exercises except aquatics. You have to always carry your ID and have to show them green pass (Openpass), in order to enter into the facility.
Have been using the facility for the summer sessions and it has been very crowded. I can't imagine what it is like during the school year. There is a variety of equipment but it could use a retrofit. Bathrooms are clean and staff are nice .
