From the reviews

It is a good recreation center with most of the equipments newly installed. The facility is clean and has great Vibe. The front desk and floor staffs are really good too. There need to be more lockers.

Plenty of cardio equipment/weights/group classes, generally very clean, can get very crowded. The student staff is hit or miss with how helpful they are with information or enforcing rules, and the membership desk is only available for a select amount of hours on weekdays only.

The Drexel University Recreation Center is a state-of-the-art facility that stands as a beacon of health and wellness in University City, Philadelphia. Opened in February 2010, this modern complex is not only the fitness hub for students, faculty, and staff but also welcomes alumni and the local community.

★★★★★ — Anwar, Mar 2024

This is definitely one of the best gyms in Philly. It has everything you could want: cardio machines, free weights and machines, an indoor track, an indoor rock wall, a pool, squash courts, and even classes and physical therapy and personal trainers.
