Plan your visit

  • Day pass around $24 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
  • Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
  • Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
  • Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
  • Ages 0–13 — the gym's own stated range
  • Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews

Top rope routes are very creative with interesting beta, there's a high concentration of 5.10a to 5.11d routes in this gym, so as an intermediate you'll never get bored. They have lots of hard routes too, but not a lot of dedicated lead routes. There are several cracks, one of which is actually adjustable.

★★★★★ — Climber, Apr 2021

I started climbing 45 days ago after a 2 weeks trial period. The first step was to take a belay class (free), then the belay test (free too) and then I was able to come either by myself (some people that are also coming by themselves, can partner up and belay with you), or with my partner to top rope or boulder.

The reason to come here is for Sergey! He’s incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and always goes the extra mile to help everyone feel confident and supported—whether you’re brand new or a seasoned climber. Sergey has such great energy and is genuinely passionate about the community here.

★★★★★ — Raye, Mar 2025

I love this place so much! I took up climbing a year and a half ago and I climb twice a week. I love the community, the classes, and all of the routes. It’s my happy place. Highly recommend if you want to try climbing in SF. They also just added an upstairs lounge, which is really comfy to hang out in.
