Plan your visit
- Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
The best climbing center in San Diego county. Huge, wide open, two full levels of climbing space, friendly staff, never overcrowded. Good instructors who prioritize safety. Unlike the Mira Mesa and Mission Valley locations, this one is spacious. Parking is challenging.
I have membership at the gym and love it! The staff is super friendly and nice. The climbing routes are generally open especially on off peak hours like really early in the morning or evenings on the weekends. Also enjoy the yoga classes and the open windows around the bouldering area.
Visited with my two daughters and we were really impressed. A giant complex for all skill levels. I was impressed to see that yoga classes and cardio equipment are offered. Please note belay lessons are only for 14 years and up. Friendly and helpful staff.
Has the best bouldering walls! It is an awesome location. I haven’t tried the top rope walls yet but I will be going back. This is a great Mesa Rim location.
