Indoor climbing gym with 40-foot walls and a friendly staff.
Plan your visit
- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

“It’s certainly for all skill levels, and they have unassisted climbing walls where you just hook in and start climbing by yourself with the auto belay systems.”
“Great hangboard warm up area also for warming up, featuring 8 and 10 mm wood edges along with the wonderful Eva Lopez hangboard with basically every edge size from 20 mm to 6 mm.”

From the reviews
Great location with awesome climbing walls. As someone who doesn’t have much experience, the process to rent gear, watch a short educational video, and to climb was all incredibly simple.
Absolutely loved our first trip to Inner Peaks. There are tons of route options, so much space to boulder, areas for more experienced climbers... Everyone was extremely welcoming to us, as first timers. We had a blast! I could stay away!! Went back a few days later (driving from Columbia).
If you’re even thinking about trying climbing, stop what you’re doing and GO to Inner Peaks. The South End location is my second home — part rock gym, part therapy session, all vibes. The staff? Friendly, encouraging, and actually remember you. The walls? Covered in routes that range from “spiderman-who?
Excellent bouldering gym, one of my favorites I’ve been to across the US. Large gym. Probably ~110-140 boulders. Plenty of weights for training. Great hangboard warm up area also for warming up, featuring 8 and 10 mm wood edges along with the wonderful Eva Lopez hangboard with basically every edge size from 20 mm to 6…
Birthday parties at Inner Peaks South End
Inner Peaks South End hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.

Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
