What's inside
“It is most similar to Focus in that it is one large long room with bouldering on one side and ropes on the opposite.”
“I can't wait for them to expand and maybe get some taller top ropes in the future.”
“It excels in that it has auto belay, top rope, and lead climbing.”
“I love the auto-belay options and the kid climbing and slide area, that allow me to sit back a bit more when I need to get their energy out but mine is already spent.”
“We were impressed with the number of different climbing areas, layout of the facility, orientation for noobs, quality of instruction, and organization of the kids camps.”
“This climbing gym also has a full workout gym upstairs, offers ariel yoga and more.”
“There is even an adorable section for children with a slide and an interesting moon board in the back.”

“The facility was pretty clean, and the equipment was in good shape.”

“Weird route setting thing where they have a uniform style for a climb but end each one with an awkward or reachy move uncharacteristic of the rest of the climb.”
“Super family and beginner friendly but also great sets for experienced climbers.”

From the reviews
Just visiting from Dallas. Very nice new gym! I can't wait for them to expand and maybe get some taller top ropes in the future. The grading is great, facility's clean and safe. Staff is friendly! Less than one star for some of the coaches allowing children to run around and run through under someone belaying.
Went here for the first time yesterday to put my son in a summer camp. My daughter wanted to do it too, but she has a serious illness that prevented us from enrolling her. The staff were SUPER accommodating and let her "shadow" brother's camp as much as she was able.
My husband and I were so happy to have a gym up here in north Phoenix that we signed up before it open. Compared to other gyms in the valley, this one holds its own. It is most similar to Focus in that it is one large long room with bouldering on one side and ropes on the opposite.
My husband and I were visiting down in Phoenix from Prescott and thought we would check out this gym. We really had a great time! Took the lead test and climbed some really fun well set up routes. Owner Chris was so nice as well as the staff. I bought a few really cute T-shirts.
Birthday parties at Gecko Climbing Gym
Gecko Climbing Gym hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Gecko Climbing Gym
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Gecko Climbing Gym — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
Adaptive climbing
Gecko Climbing Gym is mentioned for adaptive climbing or paraclimbing — sessions, equipment, or coaching that make the walls climbable for people with disabilities. Offerings like this vary a lot gym to gym and schedules change, so call ahead to ask what's available and when the next session runs.
