Kids classes & camps Yoga & fitness

Bouldering gym featuring many walls and routes for climbers of all levels.

Plan your visit

  • Day pass around $15 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
  • Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
  • Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
  • Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
  • Ages 0–12 — the gym's own stated range
  • Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews

This place is just perfect! They maintain the holds really well and the facility itself is very clean. In addition, they frequently reset the walls to replace old climbs with new ones. They have a nice workout area as well for all your lifting needs!

Had a lot of fun by myself. Not crowded on a Wednesday morning in December. So many walls/routes to choose from. Can use real chalk (unlike my local indoor climbing gym, which only allows liquid chalk). All areas (including bathrooms/locker rooms) are very clean. Temperature just right inside.

The best Touchstone gym in the Bay Area! Women's locker room is large (personal lock not required, the have a keypad/code). Lots of showers, towels available, and the dry sauna is roomy and hot. Two different weight areas and a large space for yoga and stretching upstairs.

★★★★★ — Rayna, Mar 2025

Pretty much the best bouldering gym in San Francisco. The whole Touchstone network is pretty good, but Dogpatch is probably the best/biggest I've been to for bouldering. They have a comprehensive variety of walls and pretty hard problems!
