- Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Ages 0–18 — the gym's own stated range
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
Pros: - good mixture of routes and movements - clean space - nice staff - lots of angles and good use of space in routes - two (fixed) system boards Cons: - people do not brush holds (very slick slopers and crimps); good for skin I guess but not good for sending

They efficiently/thoroughly went through belay/auto-belay certification and familiarizing me with ATC (home gym uses grigri) and we were quickly climbing (filling out forms ahead of time also sped up the…
Awesome gym! Friendly staff, great routes, tons of options and space, open all day and into the night, safe location. Used a Groupon for my family to learn to belay and that was a great deal. Would love for there to be auto belays on harder routes in case you don’t have someone to belay you.
Edit 11/23/21: the expansion is incredible! The staff, space, and setting here are all amazing. Great yoga, fitness, and belay classes also. The buddy pass policy allows me to bring friends who don't climb once per month to introduce them to the gym/sport. Also, the climbers here are chill and helpful to new climbers.
