- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Ages 0–18 — the gym's own stated range
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

If you're looking for a great spot to go rock climbing, Stone Summit Climbing Atlanta is the place for you. They have a small bouldering section because there is a dedicated bouldering gym nearby, but the staff is friendly and they offer tours for first timers.
I signed up for the belay lesson with my friend and it was a really pleasant experience. We got to stay and explore after the belay lesson finished. The instructor was really friendly, too. There are many routes with different dificulty levels, some self-climb routes also. And an area for free climb without rope.
Reasonably large climbing gym in the greater Atlanta area. They are a chain with 4 locations in and around the city. This location has both rope climbing and bouldering so it’s a plus. The staff were super friendly and accommodating There are a ton of beginner routes and plenty of autobelays for that area.
I had such a nice experience here! I’ve never been rock climbing before so I didn’t know what to expect. I’d definitely say go early because it gets crowded/busy quickly! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I was given the first time orientation like everyone else and he gave so much detail.
