Indoor rock-climbing operation with many obstacles & lessons, plus a gym with variety of classes.
Plan your visit
- Day pass around $15 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- Belaying ropes gyms teach belaying or check your certification at the desk; bouldering and auto-belays need no partner and no belay test
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Ages 0–12 — the gym's own stated range
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
This place is the best! I love the gym. It has everything you need for regular gym workouts from weights, work out machines for isolation, treadmills and bikes. They offer spin classes, yoga, boxing, and many different classes applying to climbing.
By far my favourite Touchstone climbing gym in the Bay Area. The bouldering problems are complex and more technical than muscle heavy. It gets quite busy - both on the bouldering side and the sport climbing side during the evenings.
Just started coming here, I like it. Between Ironworks and Pacific Pipe, a Touchstone membership seems like a great deal ($90/mo). Love that the locker room has a sauna.
Lots of climbing, but can be very crowded at peak hours. Gym equipment is somewhat lacking, and yoga classes are filled way past capacity. The sauna is nice. If you only care about climbing, it’s great. Not a stellar gym otherwise.
