Climbing gyms in Seattle

Seattle's gray season lasts eight months, and the climbing scene is built for it: Momentum SODO's massive walls, Bouldering Project's Poplar flagship (one of the biggest bouldering floors in the country), Vertical World (America's first climbing gym, still running), and Edgeworks. Rain outside, chalk inside. Most gyms here run strong yoga-and-fitness programs too — this is a "your whole workout" town.

What local climbers say

I spent almost 30 minutes speaking with the staff here before climbing. They were not only friendly but insightful. I found the place to be immaculately clean and well organized.

Even though I don’t live in Seattle this has been my absolute favorite bouldering gym ever - and I’ve been to many. Large bouldering areas, great exercise room and areas, yoga, campus training, even a climbing treadmill!

The staff, the routes, the yoga teachers are all excellent! The routes in the gym are very diverse for all skill levels and use a variety of techniques to complete them. They also have a complete weight training gym.
