  • Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
  • Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
  • Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
  • Café on site somewhere to grab a coffee and hang out between climbs

From the reviews

Even though I don’t live in Seattle this has been my absolute favorite bouldering gym ever - and I’ve been to many. Large bouldering areas, great exercise room and areas, yoga, campus training, even a climbing treadmill!

★★★★★ — Walter, Jan 2020

The workers here were super nice and informative about the space and it was such a wonderful experience. One of the best climbing gyms that I have seen for just bouldering. The routes were readable and they are doing super well with social distancing.

★★★★★ — Zynthia, Jan 2021

Visited the gym during this international bouldering day, so the entrance was free. Overall, it's a great gym. The place itself is enormous with multiple bouldering halls upstairs and downstairs, as well as a gigantic workout area downstairs. There were a bunch of people there and they had a few events going on.

I’ve been going here since moving to Seattle and recently signed up for a membership. Overall the locations are pretty good with a large amount of routes that are updated often. The routes span all difficulty levels and have something for everyone, and I enjoy the creativity of the routes.
