What climbers say again and again
“The only down side is that the climbing space is relatively small so they only have one course for beginners, everything else was more for intermediate climbers.”

From the reviews
Absolutely fantastic experience at the Crag. Lots of amazing summer offerings for kids and teens and we’ve been working with Emma doing private lessons for our children this summer. I can’t believe how much they’ve improved with just a few lessons.
Prices are amazingly cheap, staff was awesome and helpful with beta, new routes get put up every week, and there are auto belays! The easiest routes are like 5.8’s so not a ton of stuff for kids, but you can also just climb without sticking to a route (which my son did).
The staff was so friendly! The prices were super reasonable and we really enjoyed our experience! The only down side is that the climbing space is relatively small so they only have one course for beginners, everything else was more for intermediate climbers.
Was in Heber for 4 day, I used the crag three of them and could not have been happier! Very kind staff and other climbers as well as a nice variety of boulders and top roped climbs from auto belays to try!
Birthday parties at The Crag
The Crag hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at The Crag
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at The Crag — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
