From the reviews
I really liked this place. Went with kids all 6 and under and was family friendly. Not a huge area, but had a nice bouldering area with soft base. 6 and 4 year old we having the time of their lives there. The employees were very nice and other patrons were all very nice and kind too.
State Climb has quickly become one of our favorite places in Culpeper. We’ve been going for about a month now, and I originally signed up because my two young boys were so excited to try it. They had me convinced after the first visit and now I’m the one asking, “So… are we going climbing today?
All the staff are super friendly, and the community is so welcoming and friendly. Not to mention so sick climbs and comps! Great place to meet with friends, meet friends, or just pump out a solid workout. There is also a new weight training area AND a new wall or 2 to come. So stoked!
My family absolutely loves State Climb. My daughter participates in the Aerial Silks classes and Yoga. We were hooked from the very beginning. We have been attending State Climb for about a year and a half now, and couldn't imagine life without this amazing facility and the amazing people that work there!
Birthday parties at State Climb
State Climb hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at State Climb
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at State Climb — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
