What's inside
“The clips on this side are easier for kids to clip in but are also safer and don't allow for them to accidentally let the auto-belay go.”
What climbers say again and again
“Also, possibly the best part, there is a coffee shop right Nextdoor that you can order coffee to your table, or beer and wine, and LOTs of really good food.”
From the reviews
What a great experience! I'm so glad Rokc added this section just for kids. The clips on this side are easier for kids to clip in but are also safer and don't allow for them to accidentally let the auto-belay go. The playground is also amazing and adds more for the kids to do if they want a break from climbing.
We visited ROKC kids with our pogo pass today. I was so impressed with the facility! There is a large play area for kids which is free with the pogo pass and as of 2/2026 to rent the climbing gear is about $10-11/kid with pogo admission.
We have been going to ROKC for the last 2 years. ROKC kids opened recently so we went to check it out. Honestly such a great concept! Kids climbing walls (like 15 with different difficulties and themes), couches and chairs and tables for parents, and a HUGE indoor playground.
Staff were very thorough. Would have made the owners proud. I even sat on a table and broke it, completely my fault, and the staff’s only concern was that I was OK, handled it so professionally. Birthday party was a blast. My daughter had a great time. I’m so glad they created a Space special designed for kids.
Birthday parties at ROKC Kids
ROKC Kids hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at ROKC Kids
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at ROKC Kids — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
Adaptive climbing
ROKC Kids is mentioned for adaptive climbing or paraclimbing — sessions, equipment, or coaching that make the walls climbable for people with disabilities. Offerings like this vary a lot gym to gym and schedules change, so call ahead to ask what's available and when the next session runs.
