From the reviews
The gym was decent, with several options for all levels of climbers and bouldering. The staff were pleasant enough but seemed very uninterested in the members/customers as a whole. It was our first time and no one showed us the ropes (pun intended).
I went yesterday for the first time and ended up joining before I left. I am new to town and actually very impressed with the quality of the rock gym here. Decently high routes, good setting, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a killer workout room. Southern Oregon is very lucky to have this gym here and so am I!
I’m redoing my review after about a year. I will say, the lessons for lead classes here are good and well taught. The gym has smaller routes than other gyms I’ve been to, but they make that difference up with difficulty. These are definitely the hardest routes I’ve done.
So much fun and a great workout. The facility is clean and there are climbs labeled clearly for all skill levels. They offer belaying courses, to get certified, which I intend to do in the next year.
Birthday parties at Rogue Rock Gym
Rogue Rock Gym hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Rogue Rock Gym
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Rogue Rock Gym — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
