Climbing and bouldering gym featuring routes for all skill levels plus birthday parties.
Plan your visit
- Day pass around $23 — check current rates; most gyms price gear rental separately and discount off-peak
- Gear rental available — the gym mentions rentals; shoes typically run ~$5–8 and a harness is often bundled with a ropes pass
- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Ages 0–18 — the gym's own stated range
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

“The auto belay option is super easy and meant my son could attack the same wall for an hour and no one had to stand there holding rope for him.”

From the reviews
Visiting from out of state, I'm a beginner and these climbs were definitely challenging but not too crazy. Staff were friendly and helpful and the environment was very welcoming. Would definitely go again!
We just had our daughters 7th bday party here. It was a total hit! A lot of her friends never climbed and in the 1.5 hrs they climbed you watched each child’s confidence grow as they challenged themselves and finished their climbs with pride. I bet a lot of the kids will pursue climbing more in the future!
One of the best experiences I had. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the ladies that helped me were cheering on telling me I could do it as scary as it felt to do.
Nice rock wall climbing gym. Staff is fairly friendly. However it did take over 45 minutes to check us in/get us geared up(I went with my 4 children).
Birthday parties at Philadelphia Rock Gyms - Malvern
Philadelphia Rock Gyms - Malvern hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow.
