  • Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
  • Auto-belays mentioned here — clip in and climb ropes solo, no partner needed
  • Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
  • Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
  • Café on site somewhere to grab a coffee and hang out between climbs
  • Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

Best bouldering gym I’ve been to. Lots of routes and great diversity in difficulty to offer. Good space for all types of people and families. Great and friendly staff. Bathrooms are very nice, well cleaned, individual rooms.

BlocHaven was the best bouldering gym that I've been to. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The routes set here are on or slightly above level. You can tell that the route setters know what they are doing. I felt perfectly challenged.

More like BlocHeaven!! I have waiting to review for a few months to make sure BlocHaven was amazing as our first visit. The staff - They greet you with smiles on their faces, welcoming you, making sure you sign the safety waver, and show you around to make you feel at home!!

Dare I say this is the perfect climbing gym? Great location. Huge building with lots of bouldering wall shapes, and styles and options. Amazing training area for climbing specific things, and weightlifting. The staff was amazing and helpful and friendly. Ample storage/cubby space. Coffee shop in the climbing gym.

Birthday parties at BlocHaven

BlocHaven hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.

Kids classes & camps at BlocHaven

Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at BlocHaven — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
