What's inside
“On a weekend or very crowded evening I could see it getting a little congested, but we all boulder better when we take turns anyhow.”

“We had our 10-year-old's birthday party here and we couldn't be more happy with everything.”
“It’s bouldering only, but the setting is great and has a nice variety of modern and more classic styles of boulders.”
“Great route setting and excellent variety of climbs, especially in the beginner-to-intermediate (V2-V4) range.”
“The day pass is a great deal for college students who can spend the whole day there climbing and studying but not for anyone else.”

From the reviews
Much needed climbing gym for Corvallis and also at a driving distance from Albany. They are definitely on the smaller side in terms of area, but packed with a combination of great routes.
I feel lucky that Corvallis has such a great climbing gym. VRG has awesome staff and high quality route setting. It's a little on the small side but is still much better overall than most big city gyms I've climbed at.
We went here for a birthday party. They have a separate room for the kids to climb and have their party. They give you two instructor. They were really good with the kids.
My daughter loves it here but the price is a bit ridiculous. It is $16.00 for a child. (Day pass shouldn't be for kids...because they don't stay that long) and then the shoe rental and chalk. Ends up being $22.00 for an hour or so is not really ideal folks....
Birthday parties at Valley Rock Gym
Valley Rock Gym hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Valley Rock Gym
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Valley Rock Gym — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
