What climbers say again and again
“It has been over 3 years since my husband (an avid climber) has been to this climbing gym and my first time here.”
From the reviews
Patient instructors and a safe place for a real challenge. Clean bathroom and cubbyholes for one’s stuff. Weight machine in the back for strength training. Water fountain and merchandise for sale at counter. Ample parking in the complex.
My oldest is on the spectrum, my youngest is an advanced 4 yo. Owen our instructor was phenomenal with both of our boys. He took the extra time with our child who’s on the spectrum, gave him confidence and helped him reach the to, literally. My 4 yo is going on 25, very smart but sometimes can be timid and shy.
Went on a Sunday with my husband, his sister and her family. Our nephew has just turned 5 and he wanted to climb like his awesome uncle. Wonderful experience. It has been over 3 years since my husband (an avid climber) has been to this climbing gym and my first time here.
Had such a blast. Timing for all levels of experience here, as a newbie I had a fantastic time doing a one hour lesson with an instructor belaying us. Now I am hooked!
Birthday parties at The Gravity Vault Poughkeepsie
The Gravity Vault Poughkeepsie hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at The Gravity Vault Poughkeepsie
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at The Gravity Vault Poughkeepsie — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
