What's inside
“If you prefer to do your own thing, there a ton of machines available for weight training and various types of cardio.”
What climbers say again and again
“The place is always clean and is filled with many staff members to help with any questions.”
From the reviews
Very clean gym. Plenty of machines and equipment for everyone. I’ve hardly ever waited for a machine. Quick and easy access on campus is perfect. The large windows make it really enjoyable to work out indoors and have the Mountain View. A lot of the equipment is newer and is in good condition.
For what it is worth, the Student Rec Center at Colorado State University is a great place to workout in between the small breaks that you have while balancing the difficulties between work and your life.
Staff are friendly, courteous, and professional. I've only used the cardio machines, so I can't speak on the other parts, but their cardio offerings are extensive. They have all the major brands like Precor, Matrix, etc. All the machines are very clean, modern, and well-maintained.
If you are coming here and serious about fitness, I recommend coming in the mornings because the busy times are after 4pm every day. The facility is huge and there are almost always classes going on in the morning and evening so there's something for everyone.
Adaptive climbing
Student Recreation Center is mentioned for adaptive climbing or paraclimbing — sessions, equipment, or coaching that make the walls climbable for people with disabilities. Offerings like this vary a lot gym to gym and schedules change, so call ahead to ask what's available and when the next session runs.
