This place is great with a few caveats. First, the running track is at a 30° incline towards the center. I kept feeling like I was going to fall onto the basketball court. Second, the rock climbing wall has parts that snap or fall off regularly. Other than those two things, it's a pretty good gym.
My child was part of the NYLF:Pathways to STEM program hosted here. The college campus was so clean and well maintained the students were friendly and respectful. This was an amazing week long exsperience. I am so grateful to the staff and the college for taking immaculate care of our children.
My first time back since the remodel. Love the new set up, love the pool(s), but they lose a star because it looks like there may have been some penny pinching during the remodel with the drinking fountains. They work and are clean, but lack pressure and arent cold at all. Great facility otherwise
A very nice new facility with loads of different type of equipment for both students and community members to pick from. It also has a 35ft. rock climbing wall, an Olympic size swimming pool, a recreational pool and jacuzzi, plus so much more.
Birthday parties at Student Recreation Center
Student Recreation Center hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
