What's inside

“Would be nice to see a tension board somewhere in there, but overall it’s great for training.”
What climbers say again and again

“Bob and Megan (owners) are incredibly involved & dedicated to the climbing community, and the Stonetree fam is just all around packed with exceptional humans.”
From the reviews
We recently did the beginner bouldering class at Stonetree and were instantly hooked. A couple of outdoorsy people, I think we've tried most everything, but bouldering has always been a bit intimidating to me.
This place has been such an important spot for our family of 5 for the past decade. Our kids have grown up learning how to climb here- each taking turns at camps and being on the climbing team.
This gym is small but mighty. Awesome routes full of crimps and jugs for all levels. Staff was super friendly and even gave me some training tips. I went on a weeknight and the place was super quiet - plenty of space for me to boulder without getting in anyone's way. ***Shout-out to whoever names the routes - quality
Such an awesome place to climb, especially during the Montana winter or solo anytime. A fun community epicenter and friendly genuine owners. If you’re looking for a great place to plug into the Helena area climbing community and have a blast sending some routes look no further!
Birthday parties at Stonetree Climbing Center
Stonetree Climbing Center hosts birthday parties, going by their listing and visitor reviews. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Stonetree Climbing Center
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Stonetree Climbing Center — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
Adaptive climbing
Stonetree Climbing Center is mentioned for adaptive climbing or paraclimbing — sessions, equipment, or coaching that make the walls climbable for people with disabilities. Offerings like this vary a lot gym to gym and schedules change, so call ahead to ask what's available and when the next session runs.
