What climbers say again and again
“Plenty of well maintained equipment, clean spaces, and usually not too busy”
From the reviews
Love the place because I don’t have to worry about parking but I can’t find everything for weight training. But the pool is pretty big and nice and also have a great running trail.
The St. Paul gym is smaller and if you work at the U it can be a great price (students it's free so it's even better). There is some bouldering along with rock climbing. I will say, when it is busy you just have to wait to get on the machines.
Great staff! Incredibly well maintained! Very well prepared for practicing social distancing and safe environment to workout in public. A favorite place of mine😊😊
Super cozy gym, really nice staff, and not busy most hours. It's a little small but has all the basics plus a few.
Birthday parties at St. Paul Gymnasium
St. Paul Gymnasium hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at St. Paul Gymnasium
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at St. Paul Gymnasium — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
