- Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
- First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
- Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
- Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
- Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews
Staff was courteous and kind and let us use the shower facilities for free on our road trip. Locker rooms and showers were very clean and comfortable. Thank you, Sheridan YMCA!
🌟 5-Star Review 🌟 I had such a great experience at the swimming pool! The water was clean and fresh, and the pool itself was very nice and well-maintained. I really enjoyed my time there. At the reception, the two ladies were so friendly and welcoming—it made the visit even better. Thank you so much!
Unlike some YMCAs in the state, this one has a fantastic pool with something for the whole family. The staff here is also great and friendly, and you can tell that they care about their facility. This is a wonderful place to spend time to escape the heat or to escape the snow anytime of year.
Wish it stayed open longer and it didn't feel like the staff was shoo'ing you out 30 minutes before close. Minor complaints for a good facility though. Cardio equipment could use an upgrade but it's all better than any other gym in town.
Birthday parties at Sheridan County YMCA
Sheridan County YMCA hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Sheridan County YMCA
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Sheridan County YMCA — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
