From the reviews
One visit and you’ll understand why it was ranked sixth best climbing gym in America. A unique climbing experience with a good mix of difficult and beginner climbs. The setters are fabulous and the staff are very helpful.
I have not had a chance to use the facility yet but i did get the opportunity to tour the place and get information about pricing. It seems totally affordable and well worth the reasonable amount of money that would be spent for a membership. I haven't been this excited to go work out in a while.
One of the best gyms I've gone to. I've been to the gym a decent amount over the past two years. They keep setting new routes that make me wanna come back. Also the cave is sick!
Cool cool cool location! Bouldering in their cave, built in a mall inside a man-made cave! Good setting, friendly staff. Old school vibe.
Birthday parties at RoKC
RoKC hosts birthday parties — confirmed on their own site. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Adaptive climbing
RoKC is mentioned for adaptive climbing or paraclimbing — sessions, equipment, or coaching that make the walls climbable for people with disabilities. Offerings like this vary a lot gym to gym and schedules change, so call ahead to ask what's available and when the next session runs.
