What climbers say again and again
“I only gave 4 starts because of that and the family bathrooms are never clean, there is always hair or what is probably soap (but you never know) in the corners.”
“We go here all of the time for fun and birthday parties.”
From the reviews
This place has tons to offer. You can go swimming, play basketball, run the track, mountain climb and so much more. These locker rooms are clean and inviting. This wonderful location has the choice of three different pools. The Ridge has a warm therapy pool, a large lap pool and all the kids favorite a children's pool.
The rock wall at Ridge Rec Center is an excellent opportunity for children and adults alike to challenge themselves physically and mentally while having fun. The staff members, Kate and George, have clearly made a positive impact on the experience of those who use the rock wall.
We go here all of the time for fun and birthday parties. The party pricing is great! I wish they had more rooms that faced / went directly to the pool. The only party room worth getting is the Eldorado room. I wish they had better snacks in the vending machines too.
We come here often with the Scout Troop. We love the climbing wall and the prices are much cheaper than a climbing gym. Once you take the belay class you can climb on your own. The pool staff is always willing to let us use the safety equipment for water rescue training.
Birthday parties at Ridge Recreation Center
Ridge Recreation Center hosts birthday parties, going by their listing and visitor reviews. Climbing parties come with staff who handle the harnesses and belaying, so parents can mostly watch. One thing that's different here: every guest needs a signed waiver — send the gym's waiver link to the other parents when you send invites, or check-in day gets slow. Packages, party rooms, and pricing change often, so check the current options and book ahead — weekend slots go fast at popular gyms.
Kids classes & camps at Ridge Recreation Center
Reviews and the gym's own info mention kids programs at Ridge Recreation Center — climbing classes, school-break camps, or a youth team where kids learn technique from coaches instead of just scrambling around. Program schedules and age groups change each season, so check the current lineup before you plan around one.
