  • Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems

From the reviews

My favorite climbing gym to visit when I'm home for the holidays. Hands down the best bouldering of any gym I've ever been to. At first glance, the number of routes seems a bit low compared to what you might be used to, but I think the sheer amount of wall space balances that out.

This is a really cool place and I'm happy to see it in Indy. I hope it does well. I visited North Mass Boulder as part of a Yelp event. Upon entry I was immediately shocked by how large it was. It's very spacious. I didn't do any climbing but decided to have a latte and do some work upstairs in the co-working space.

The place to boulder if you want to meet people. There is a ton of people every weekday evening and still a lot of people during the weekend as well. The membership is slightly expensive ($75/month), but if you attend the yoga and dance classes like me, it is so worth it.

This is such a rad gym with bouldering (no ropes) climbing routes offered for your beginner climber to your experienced one. There is an awesome shop where you can buy gear, clothes and other items- pretty pricey, but quality stuff. There’s a great weights setup for lifting.
