  • Gear rental nearly every climbing gym rents shoes (~$5–8 typical) and chalk; harness rental is often bundled with a ropes pass
  • Waiver always required at climbing gyms — sign it online before you go to skip the front-desk line
  • First timer? bouldering needs zero experience — rent shoes and walk in; staff will point you at the easiest problems
  • Kids programs classes, camps, or youth teams mentioned — check the current schedule
  • Yoga & fitness mentioned alongside the climbing — ask about the class schedule and what a pass includes
  • Memberships available — worth asking about if you'd climb more than a few times a month

From the reviews

Great place for bouldering. Lots of room to social distance and to wait for you turn on a route. The routes are soo fun and the best thing is that even the V1s make you think how to position your body, so you actually learn to climb a boulder and not a ladder ;) it just opened, but it has everything you need to start…

There are great climbing gyms in Pittsburgh, but this is the best one. Great staff, huge space with so many routes, & great fitness options. Plus, the staff is sweet & the route setting is superb. And if you work remotely, there’s a ton of space to work & take calls in between sends. 🧗‍♀️

Awesome bouldering gym with spacious, clean facilities. The setting and terrain has a little bit for everyone, from overhang caves to slabs and traverse. Staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Also has extensive fitness equipment and space.

★★★★★ — David, Apr 2023

The problems are always fun to solve and each one tries to teach you a technique, the staff is great, the space is clean, there are lots of changing rooms and nice bathrooms, there’s a decent set of equipment upstairs for weightlifting and cardio,…
